Dr. Dhruv Sharma is a highly accomplished Orthopaedic surgeon who has trained at various centres of repute both in India and abroad and has more than 14 years of experience in spine and orthopaedics.
He credits his advanced understanding of spine care to mentorship at AIIMS, Delhi, one of India’s premier medical institute, where he worked with both the neurosurgery and orthopaedics teams allowing him to integrate the best practice from both worlds. He also worked in Indian Spinal Injury Center, Vasant Kunj where he gained valuable experience in managing complex spinal issues.
He developed his special interest in endoscopic spine surgery from his wide experience at these two centres where he was exposed to all three techniques of spine surgery, the open, microscopic and endoscopic and found endoscopy to be much less morbid and more rewarding than the other two. He then worked on his endoscopic skills through various fellowship trainings and cadaveric courses.
He has also worked at Dr. RML Hospital, a renowned institution known for its sports injury team, which has since transitioned to the Sports Injury Center at Safdarjung hospital. His training also includes fellowship in South Korea, where he further refined his skills in advanced arthroscopy techniques.
